The Grand Staff of Tinig is the foundation behind all the music. Members of the Grand Staff are empowered as contributors and leaders to fulfill our mission:
"...to cultivate a space for connection through musical expression and the celebration and sharing of Filipino culture."
As a Staff Member, you are entrusted with responsibilities defined in Tinig's Constitution:

Officers serve as decision makers on behalf of Tinig Choral. Officers may also organize members to help them fulfill their duties by leading a committee.
Section Leaders serve as musical leadership for all members of Tinig Choral and as liasons between the Staff and non-Staff members.

"… celebrate Filipino arts through rehearsals, cultural workshops, and community performances...
… produce and facilitate events that strengthen and showcase our organization…
... and promote Filipino culture and community activities within UCLA and beyond…"
Officers and Section Leaders are permanent members of committees, led by the President, Vice Presidents, and Music Director.Â
General members may also join committees as non-officers to learn and develop their skills for a future role on staff.
Elections for Tinig Choral's Grand Staff of 2026-27 will be on February 2nd, 2026 from 7-9pm. (Location TBD)
If you are interested in running for an officer and/or section leader position, you will have 5 minutes to present to voters in attendance and 5 minutes for Q&A.
You are permitted to run for multiple positions and will have a 5 minute presentation and 5 minute Q&A for each position you run for.
If you are interested in joining a committee as a general member, you may apply with the Google Form attached below (TBD) and will be contacted by your lead officer for an interview. Committee membership will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year!
